KADIDJA DOSSO

After a severe allergic reaction to braids, Kadidja Dosso decided to launch her own line of clinically tested, non-toxic, hypoallergenic, and organic hair products: Dosso Beauty.
She has sold hypoallergenic hair extensions and organic hair care to over 200,000 people and generated $2 million in revenue over the past seven years. More recently, following the release of the Consumer Reports report revealing the presence of toxic chemicals in traditional braiding hair brands, Dosso Beauty saw its revenue increase by 800%. Its products are sold online at dossobeauty.com, Amazon, GoPuff, and in over 60 retail locations and salons worldwide.

In July 2024, Kadidja opened The Dosso Beauty Experience, the first luxury braiding salon and retail boutique in her hometown of Philadelphia.

Before founding Dosso Beauty, Kadidja was a management consultant at Accenture LLP in New York City, where she worked for over six years. After winning the $250,000 Black Ambition HBCU Grand Prize hosted by Pharrell Williams (as well as $75,000 for her alma mater, Hampton University), Kadidja decided to dedicate herself fully to her business. Since winning, she has successfully secured over $800,000 in non-dilutive funding to grow Dosso Beauty.
